The WinTESS software application is a program for the seamless management of automated tests and unit under test maintenance. The program is a result of years of development by the Symcotech team in the field of automated tests and integrates dozens of customer requested features that have accumulated over two decades. The intuitive user interface that was designed with the end user in mind puts a special focus on the specific work flow of a busy testing technician.

 

 

In addition to the traditional test management capabilities, WinTESS includes built in tools for managing the maintenance of tested systems. Along with communicating between various types of test equipment the program enables sharing databases among a number of maintenance centers, making it a powerful tool for the comprehensive handling and maintenance of testing systems being brought in for treatment. Maintenance management features include the ability to open a maintenance chart for each system brought in for checkups, that records the malfunction reported and the unit that brought in the system. The maintenance chart includes detailed information about system failures that were discovered throughout the test and the actions taken by the technician in charge. The chart enables keeping track of parts that were replaced in the tested system as part of the process of getting it back to full operation. In addition to having a tool for tracking the configuration of systems (ABL), various reports can be generated to track different versions of the systems. The ability to browse through maintenance history and analysis is a powerful feature for tracking common and recurring malfunctions.

 

The program includes tools for the comprehensive statistical analysis of archive results that are accumulated in the test equipment. This is a decision making tool that enables system administrators to determine whether to widen or narrow the tolerance of measurements for certain tests for example. The ability to perform a statistical analysis for units under test with a specific serial number enables diagnosing irregular phenomena and unusual behavior of the tested whole. The ability to perform statistical analysis in various time segments allows receiving vital information such as the retrofit influence on systems that were tested from a certain date.
